An established AI-security vendor with a proven banking client base extends into the education vertical via a single university deployment, an incremental market-expansion move with sub-segment impact only.
Everspin deploys AI-MTD-based EverSafe Web security platform at Korea University of Technology and Education
Everspin, a Seoul-based AI security firm led by CEO Ha Young-bin, said it has deployed its EverSafe Web dynamic web-security solution at Korea University of Technology and Education (KOREATECH). The system will protect the school's learning-management system, integrated portal, and main website against automated attacks such as macro-driven abuse and web scraping targeting student grades and personal data. Everspin said Jeonbuk National University is also evaluating EverSafe Web for source-code protection and anti-scraping defense.
EverSafe Web runs on Everspin's AI-MTD (moving target defense) technology: a proprietary AI generator continuously rewrites security modules so attackers face a shifting target rather than fixed logic to reverse-engineer. The company built its track record in banking, where EverSafe Web already runs at NH Nonghyup Bank, Samsung Card, Korea Investment & Securities, Meritz Securities, KB Securities, the Federation of Savings Banks, and SBI Savings Bank, alongside public-sector and entertainment deployments at the National Tax Service and Ticketlink. University course-registration and LMS platforms have become frequent scraping and credential-stuffing targets, giving a bank-tested vendor a fast path into education-sector procurement.
The move illustrates how Korean AI-security vendors use financial-sector validation as a credibility bridge into adjacent, lower-budget markets like education and public administration, where in-house security staffing is thinner. For Everspin, which has been reporting strong revenue and profit growth ahead of a planned IPO, each named institutional reference โ spanning banking, tax administration, ticketing, and now higher education โ builds the customer-diversity story investors will scrutinize before listing.
