Amazon and Anthropic expand strategic collaboration through a massive $100 billion compute agreement. Amazon will provide an immediate $5 billion investment, with an additional $20 billion available based on performance milestones. In return, Anthropic has committed to spending over $100 billion on Amazon Web Services (AWS) over the next decade. This agreement includes guaranteed access to up to 5 gigawatts of compute capacity via Amazon's custom Trainium chip generations, spanning Trainium2, Trainium3, and Trainium4.
