Arlequin AI raises €28M Series A to expand topological neural network technology internationally.

Paris-based Arlequin AI has raised a €28 million Series A co-led by redalpine and OTB Ventures, with participation from Bpifrance’s Defence Innovation Fund. Existing backers Vsquared Ventures and 10x Founders increased their stakes, while Xavier Niel joined the round. Founded in 2024, the company builds systems for analyzing fragmented, interconnected datasets spanning documents, transactions, video, and operational information. It says its platform helps organizations identify relationships while tracing findings back to underlying evidence.

The financing is a bet on an alternative technical path to simply scaling model size, training data, and compute. Arlequin’s topological neural networks are designed to learn from both individual data points and their relationships, including complex interactions involving multiple elements. That positioning matters in security, fraud, anti-money-laundering, cybersecurity, and information-integrity workflows, where the practical problem is often connecting disparate evidence rather than generating a fluent response. The company says its technology is already used by governments and large organizations across Western and Eastern Europe.

For builders, the relevant test will be whether relationship-aware models can deliver auditable, useful results on operational datasets where conventional model pipelines struggle with provenance and complex links. For investors, the round provides capital for international deployment, but commercial validation will depend on converting security-sensitive public-sector and enterprise use cases into repeatable deployments. Arlequin has opened London and Berlin offices and plans an AI lab in Silicon Valley as it expands its model-development and commercial teams.
