Coram AI raises $35M Series B led by Ansa Capital and Battery Ventures.

Coram AI, an AI-native physical security startup, has raised $35 million in a Series B round co-led by Ansa Capital and Battery Ventures, with participation from UP.Partners, 8VC, and Mosaic Ventures. The company, founded by IIT Delhi alumnus Ashesh Jain and Peter Ondruska, brings together video surveillance, access control, visitor management, and emergency response into a single AI-powered interface that works with customers' existing cameras and hardware. It serves over 1,500 sites across the US and Canada including Fortune 500 companies, school districts, healthcare providers, and municipalities.

The company says it has quadrupled revenue and tripled its customer base since its $13.8 million Series A last year. Alongside the funding, it launched Deep Investigation, an AI feature using autonomous agents to analyze footage, access control records, and visitor logs across multiple locations, reducing investigation times from hours or weeks to minutes. The funds will accelerate AI product development, go-to-market expansion, and engineering hiring in Bengaluru, India.

This funding cycle illustrates the ongoing capital investment into vertical AI applications that digitize and automate legacy physical operations — a pattern seen across property, security, and industrial segments. Coram AI is essentially repurposing computer vision techniques developed for autonomous vehicles into a narrow but high-value enterprise security workflow. The expansion of engineering operations in India also underscores a recurring structural force: US-based AI companies leveraging Indian engineering talent for cost-effective scaling.
