GENISOM AI closes RMB hundreds-of-millions Series B led by UAE's Stone Venture after 15,000-unit production milestone

The AMW Read

Series B for an already index-tracked quadruped maker extends the established Gulf sovereign-capital-into-Chinese-robotics pattern rather than introducing a new dynamic, with segment-level but not cross-segment significance.

GENISOM AI closes RMB hundreds-of-millions Series B led by UAE's Stone Venture after 15,000-unit production milestone

Genisom AI (智身科技), a Chinese quadruped and humanoid robotics maker, closed a Series B worth RMB several hundred million led by Dubai-based Stone Venture (磊石资本), joined by Hongshan Capital and state-linked funds, plus strategic investors Neusoft Group and Highpower International. The company has shipped over 15,000 quadruped robots cumulatively through June 2026, with monthly output up more than tenfold year-on-year, deployed in power-grid inspection, petrochemical, firefighting, security, emergency response, and education across 500-plus partners. Proceeds fund the robot hardware line, its GSD (Genisom Self-Driving) navigation stack, task-execution capability, and a program opening 1,000 robots plus over RMB 100 million in resources to developers and universities.

The round extends a pattern of Gulf capital backing Chinese embodied-intelligence makers for oil, gas, energy, and security applications as the UAE and Saudi Arabia diversify from oil revenue — Stone Venture has previously backed Limx Dynamics and Neolix, and Saudi Aramco's Prosperity7 fund backs similarly-profiled Chinese robotics makers. The UAE targets 200,000-plus deployed robots and a 9% GDP contribution from robotics by 2030, giving the capital explicit industrial-policy backing. Genisom's quadruped-first strategy — funding its NE01 humanoid line off four-legged production scale — mirrors Unitree's playbook.

For builders and investors, Chinese embodied-intelligence financing is shifting from team-and-demo pitches toward delivery volume and data-loop evidence — production milestones like Genisom's 15,000 units and its CHAMP joint-module line's 1-million-unit annual capacity are becoming screening criteria, with state-owned funds and industrial LPs joining VCs to secure supply-chain and channel access. Per the AI Market Watch index, tracking close to 5,000 companies as a coverage sample not a census, Genisom AI was founded in 2023 — a fast production ramp entering Gulf markets through investor-linked industrial demand.
