Google is opening its smart home platform to AI agents, allowing tools like Claude and Open Claw to control connected devices and analyze home data through the standardized Model Context Protocol. The integration lets any MCP-supporting agent — including Google Antigravity, Claude, Hermes, and Open Claw — securely work with the full Google Home ecosystem, from device controls to event history. The feature is initially rolling out to Google Home Premium Advanced subscribers in the US at $20/month or $200/year.
