Updates the player map for the Healthcare/Bio segment with a new seed-stage entrant focused on preventive diagnostic workflows.
Bengaluru-based healthtech startup Cent raised $5 million in seed funding to scale its AI-powered early disease detection platform. Founded by Practo co-founder Shashank ND, Cent's proprietary CCNM protocol combines whole-body MRI, low-dose CT scans, and 120+ biomarkers to screen for 300+ conditions including cancer, cardiac, neurological, and metabolic diseases in asymptomatic individuals. In just 1,500 initial scans, 26% revealed clinically meaningful findings with 3-4% identifying critical conditions requiring immediate intervention. This signals a fundamental shift in India's healthcare approach from reactive treatment to AI-driven preventive care, addressing conditions that cause 70-74% of global deaths. The company targets 10 million scans by 2035.
