Jincheng Technology raises Series A for ManuDrive industrial AI control platform

Shanghai-based Jincheng Technology has completed a Series A backed by Shanghai state-owned capital, industrial investors and market-oriented funds, according to PEdaily. The report names neither the investors nor the amount raised. Founded in 2023 by Shanghai Jiao Tong University professor Li Jinjin, the company develops ManuDrive, an industrial AI platform that combines physical models and production data to generate control instructions under physical safety constraints. The company reports deployments at more than 100 manufacturing enterprises and says it has reached profitability.

The market significance lies in AI acting on production processes, with results measured in output, energy use and product quality. ManuDrive's 127 reusable algorithm components address the central physical-AI challenge of transferring a successful deployment across plants without rebuilding each project. At antibiotic fermentation producer Chuanning Biotechnology, the report says production variability fell 50% and output rose 3%-5%. These reported results support a task-specific industrial-control case, but do not establish that the platform can reproduce those gains across industries.

For investors, the concrete diligence question is whether component reuse makes delivery economics repeatable. Jincheng charges a share of incremental customer gains, tying revenue to measured outcomes. That makes the calculation of gains, deployment effort and ongoing support costs central to assessing profitability. Reported delivery times of one to two weeks, with some modules deployed in a day, warrant scrutiny across multiple sites before treating the business as a scalable platform.
