Miso Information Technology, a Korean multimodal data and AI company led by CEO Nam Sang-do, has been selected in the AI solution company category of the M.AX (Manufacturing AI Transformation) Specialized Enterprise program, run jointly by Korea's Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and the Korea Institute of Industrial Technology Planning and Evaluation (KEIT). The selection is based on the company's manufacturing AI platform DAXI, which collects and integrates equipment, process, quality, and production data on the factory floor and supports workflows from anomaly prediction to production-planning decisions. The company cites deployment experience with Ecopro, Hyundai Steel, Lotte Engineering & Construction, and CMTX across secondary battery, automotive, steel, and semiconductor sites, and was previously designated an AI Factory specialist last year, holding a Level 3 Smart Factory supplier rating and an AAA technology-business assessment grade.
The program functions as a government-run vendor certification that Korean manufacturers can use as a procurement signal when selecting AI suppliers, rather than a product launch in itself. More notable is Miso's stated architecture: rather than shipping isolated models or point automation, it centers on a data platform that bundles MLOps, model validation, data quality management, and AI governance, then layers vision AI, digital twins, IoT sensing, and robot control on top — the kind of integrated, decision-to-execution stack that industrial AI vendors increasingly need to credibly compete for factory-wide deployments rather than single-use-case pilots.
