Outmarket AI raises $34.5 million to expand insurance workflow automation

San Francisco-based Outmarket AI raised a $34.5 million Series B led by SignalFire, with participation from Fika Ventures, Permanent Capital Ventures, TTV Capital, and Dash Fund. The financing follows a $17 million Series A announced months earlier and brings total funding to $56.5 million. Outmarket says its platform serves more than 300 agencies and over 10,000 active users, including more than a quarter of the Top 100 insurance agencies. It plans to enter the carrier market later this year.

The company belongs in the financial-services workflow layer of enterprise AI: its value proposition centers on insurance operations rather than general-purpose model capability. Outmarket connects agency management systems with policies, contracts, and client records, combining structured and unstructured information to automate renewals, benchmarking, proposals, and policy-gap analysis. Its planned carrier expansion could extend that integration across the agency-insurer boundary, where the company aims to reduce manual information handoffs. The strategic question is whether those connections make the platform embedded in daily work; the reported adoption figures do not establish the size of the productivity gains.

For investors, the concrete diligence priority is to distinguish user adoption from measurable operating value. Renewal turnaround time, hours spent preparing proposals, and the accuracy of policy-gap analysis would help test the platform's economics. Carrier expansion also warrants separate scrutiny: agency adoption is evidence of demand in one customer group, while demand from insurers remains an execution question until the planned entry produces results.
