Startup Due Dil Launches Ten-Agent Platform for Startup Investment Due Diligence

Startup Due Dil, launched by SMRK VC partner Vlad Tislenko, is a web application designed to automate early-stage startup diligence. Users can upload a pitch deck and optionally add financial statements, cap tables, legal documents, comments, and links. The system assigns analysis across nine specialist agents covering founders, market, competitors, technology, traction, business model, regulation, ownership, and legal issues. A tenth agent, Oracle, coordinates the work, checks completeness, and can rerun a specialist with added context. The company says it compares submitted claims with public sources and produces a cited report with red, yellow, and green flags in about 10 minutes, replacing work that can otherwise take hours or days.

The launch is a practical test of whether agent orchestration can improve a high-stakes finance workflow rather than merely summarize documents. Startup diligence is valuable precisely because evidence is incomplete, claims are unevenly supported, and risks often emerge at the intersection of market, legal, technical, and ownership questions. Splitting that work into specialist tasks may improve coverage, but the product's credibility will depend on whether investors can inspect sources, understand uncertainty, and override weak conclusions. Startup Due Dil is a new entrant in a market where the real differentiation is likely to be auditable evidence and workflow fit, not the number of agents alone.

For builders, the implication is to make evidence provenance and exception handling core product surfaces: a concise report is useful only if a partner can quickly trace a flag back to a source and determine what remains unverified. For investors, the appropriate use is as a first-pass research layer and checklist, not a substitute for reference calls, legal review, or judgment on founder quality. Tislenko built the initial tool for less than EUR 1,000, underscoring how cheaply a focused agent workflow can now be assembled; defensibility will need to come from diligence-quality feedback loops and trusted user adoption.
