Rhoda AI introduces a massive $450M Series A (meeting the $500M threshold's proximity in importance) and validates the 'embodied foundation model' debate by using internet-scale video for closed-loop control.
Rhoda AI has emerged from 18 months in stealth with $450M Series A funding at a $1.7B valuation, backed by Premji Invest, Temasek, Khosla Ventures, and John Doerr. The company unveiled FutureVision, a video-predictive control platform trained on millions of internet videos that enables robots to adapt to unpredictable industrial environments. By learning physical motion from internet-scale video data and operating in closed-loop control, Rhoda's robots can master new tasks with just 10 hours of teleoperation data. This represents a fundamental shift toward foundation models for robotics that could finally bridge the gap between controlled lab settings and real-world manufacturing floors. #Robotics #AI #FutureOfWork #IndustrialAutomation
