Vecna Robotics raises $31M to expand autonomous warehouse robotics

Massachusetts-based Vecna Robotics raised $31 million to grow its autonomous mobile robot business and develop new warehouse automation for moving cases and pallets. The round was led by Unless, with participation from Drive Capital, Tiger Global, Highland Capital Partners, and Tectonic Ventures. Proceeds will scale deployment teams and go-to-market efforts while funding pallet stacking and de-stacking plus trailer loading and unloading, extending autonomous pallet movement into storage, staging, and dock operations. Its fleet includes the CPJ Co-bot Pallet Jack, Autonomous Forklift, and Autonomous Tugger, coordinated through the Pivotal orchestration platform. Vecna designs, manufactures, and supports the robots in Massachusetts.

Warehouse automation remains a core physical-AI buying surface: operators want flexible material-flow automation across tasks, not single-point robots. Vecna says demand for CaseFlow, its case-picking system, has more than doubled year over year since its 2025 launch, and a GEODIS deployment reportedly doubled picking throughput while reducing training time and improving floor safety. That commercial evidence matters because AMR vendors increasingly compete on orchestration software, fleet breadth, and live logistics ROI—not hardware specs alone. A U.S.-based design-and-manufacture stance also targets buyers that prioritize long-term platform reliability and supply locality.

For investors and operators, this is a mid-size growth check aimed at stretching from case picking into dock and pallet-handling workflows. The near-term test is whether CaseFlow momentum and GEODIS-style throughput gains convert into multi-site rollouts across forklifts and tuggers—the path from task automation to site-wide material-flow platforms.
