YouLabs Raises $2.6M Seed for Preventive Health Platform in India
Singapore and Hyderabad-based healthcare startup YouLabs has raised $2.6 million in a seed round led by Crane Venture Partners, with participation from Dr. Reddy's, Matrix Pharma, and designer Jayanti Reddy. The company is building preventive health and longevity infrastructure for South Asian populations, combining a physician-managed program called 150, an AI-driven Longevity Score that integrates genomic and longitudinal health data, and a planned range of supplements. Founder Ajay Bulusu has assembled a cross-functional team of physicians, scientists, engineers, and data specialists to develop the platform.
This seed round fits the pattern of early-stage vertical AI platforms forming around underserved data demographics — in this case, South Asian health data, which remains dramatically underrepresented in global biobanks and clinical AI training sets. YouLabs' Longevity Score represents a context-engineering approach to preventive care, stitching together genomic, biological, and temporal health signals. The involvement of both a major pharmaceutical company (Dr. Reddy's) and a venture firm (Crane Venture Partners) launching its Asia-Pacific fund from this deal suggests capital is flowing toward region-specific health AI platforms that can eventually underwrite longitudinal data moats.
The $2.6 million sum is modest but strategically placed: the company is betting that a vertically integrated preventive health stack — clinic program, data platform, supplements — can generate recurring data flywheels. For the South Asian health AI segment, this is an incremental update that extends the player map but does not yet resolve open questions about reimbursement models or clinical validation at scale. The Longevity Score concept echoes earlier biomarker aggregation plays that have struggled to achieve regulatory clearance or payer adoption outside of concierge medicine.
