AI agent security startup Zenity raises $125M in Series C led by Norwest

Zenity, a startup developing security infrastructure for AI agents, has raised $125 million in a Series C round led by Norwest Venture Partners. New investors include Qumra Capital, SoftBank Vision Fund 2, Hitachi Ventures, and LG Technology Ventures, with existing backers DTCP, Vertex Ventures, Third Point Ventures, and Intel Capital also participating. The company did not disclose its valuation. Per the AI Market Watch index, Zenity has raised $185M to date (coverage limited to indexed companies).

Zenity addresses a growing gap in enterprise security: as organizations deploy AI agents from platforms like Microsoft 365 Copilot, ChatGPT Enterprise, and coding tools such as Cursor and Codex, these agents operate beyond the visibility of traditional security tools. Zenity focuses on the agent layer itself, discovering active agents, mapping their permissions and data access, and enforcing policy before actions are taken. The company's approach emphasizes deterministic control over probabilistic model outputs.

Zenity Labs, the company's research arm, has published vulnerability research on agent platforms, including the AgentFlayer series, and contributed to runtime protections for agents built with OpenAI's AgentKit. The new funding will accelerate global expansion and platform development, signaling growing demand for dedicated security tooling as enterprises move autonomous agents into production.
