Instinct reportedly raises $1B Series C at $10B valuation
PANews, citing TechCrunch, reports that personal AI assistant startup Instinct has completed a $1 billion Series C at a $10 billion valuation, with Sequoia Capital, Benchmark Capital and Coatue among the investors. The reported valuation is four times the $2.5 billion figure attached to a financing announced about a month earlier. AI Market Watch covered the proposed $1 billion round on September 16; the new report says that round has closed.
The size and pace of the financing put Instinct on the AI-agent player map as investors place a large bet on assistants that take action for consumers. Instinct communicates by text message and is described as handling travel and restaurant bookings, shopping, bill payments, subscription cancellations, research and grocery orders. Those tasks require an agent to act across services, which makes reliable completion more consequential than conversational ability alone. The reported round is also a capital-cycle signal for consumer agents: a $10 billion valuation follows the company's reported $2.5 billion valuation by roughly a month.
For builders and investors, the concrete question is whether Instinct can complete those tasks consistently enough to support repeat use at this valuation. The report provides no user count or growth metrics, and says Instinct has no mobile app. Those gaps leave adoption and retention unmeasured in the account, even as the financing sets a much higher expectation for commercial traction.
