The AMW Read
Closes a previously-reported in-talks round near the $5 billion valuation flagged in June, and the disclosed $700M ARR plus Fortune 500 adoption sharpens the generative-media monetization picture.
Higgsfield raises $400 million Series B led by DST Global at roughly $5.4 billion valuation
San Francisco-based AI video and image platform Higgsfield closed a $400 million Series B led by DST Global, with strategic backing from South Korea's Mirae Asset Capital and Japan's NTT Docomo Ventures alongside new investors Tribe Capital, Goldman Sachs Alternatives' growth-equity arm, Smash Capital, Fifth Wall, Valor Capital, Intel Capital, and Liberty Global Tech Ventures. The company said annualized revenue has surpassed $700 million and that 390 Fortune 500 companies now produce video content on its platform.
The round effectively closes the financing Higgsfield was reported to be negotiating in June at a roughly $5 billion valuation, and the $700 million ARR figure β if accurate β would put it among the fastest-scaling revenue lines in generative media, a segment where most competitors still lean on usage metrics rather than disclosed revenue. The Mirae Asset and NTT Docomo participation, explicitly tied by the company to an Asia-Pacific expansion push, also signals that generative-video distribution deals are becoming a regional competitive front rather than a US-only race.
For investors, the deal sets a revenue-multiple benchmark other generative-media platforms will be measured against at their next raise; for enterprise-facing competitors, the 390-company Fortune 500 adoption claim raises the bar on the brand and studio traction now expected to justify a multibillion-dollar round.
