Airwallex launches AI-native accounting platform T:0 in the US market

At the 2026 Bund Summit (Inclusion Conference) in Shanghai, Airwallex (空中云汇) unveiled T:0, an AI-native accounting platform, and confirmed its US market launch. T:0 automates bookkeeping and revenue recognition, updates financial records in real time, and lets companies configure reports around their own operating model. Airwallex also introduced the Startup Finance 30 list, judged by the CFOs of Notion, Deel, Vercel, and Airwallex itself, to recognize finance leaders at growing startups. Separately, the company confirmed a five-year, $43 million investment in the UAE to build new financial and agentic products for the region, alongside in-principle approval from the UAE central bank for a stored-value-facility and retail-payment-services (Category 2) license, with full licensing targeted for 2026.

The launch extends Airwallex's push from cross-border payments into back-office accounting, a workflow historically handled by manual processes or standalone SaaS tools like QuickBooks or NetSuite. The company frames the move around one-person and early-stage companies that operate in multiple currencies and markets from their first day, a structural mismatch with financial systems built for single-currency, single-entity enterprises. Airwallex says it now serves more than 676,000 business customers directly or through partner platforms across 200-plus countries, holds 89 licenses globally, and completed a $320 million Series H round in June 2026 at an $11 billion post-money valuation — capital and regulatory scale that let it bundle payments, treasury, and now accounting automation into one agentic finance layer rather than a single point product.

For builders in vertical accounting and bookkeeping AI, the read is that payments infrastructure incumbents are moving up-stack into their territory with the regulatory license count to back it. For investors, Airwallex's valuation and its licensing buildout in markets like the UAE suggest that global compliance reach, not just model quality, is becoming the differentiator in enterprise fintech AI.
