DataAgent emerges from stealth with $10M pre-seed to build self-healing Kubernetes infrastructure

Tel Aviv-based DataAgent has emerged from stealth with $10 million in pre-seed funding led by MizMaa Ventures and Alicorn Venture Partners. Founded by CEO Ishay Yaari and CTO Nati Shalom, former colleagues at Cloudify (acquired by Dell in 2023), the 15-person company is building what it calls a remediation-first platform: autonomous agents deployed directly inside a customer's Kubernetes and cloud infrastructure that detect faults and apply a verified fix before a full root-cause investigation happens. The funding will go toward go-to-market expansion in North America and additional hiring in the US and Israel.

The pitch is a direct challenge to the standard observability workflow, where logs and metrics are shipped to an external vendor for analysis and a human engineer decides on a remedy. DataAgent instead reads the live system topology inside the customer's own environment and acts first, restoring service before deeper diagnosis, on the theory that mean-time-to-resolution โ€” not richer dashboards โ€” is the metric that matters, and that keeping telemetry in-environment addresses both cost and complexity as data volumes scale with system size.

The claim narrows the AIOps promise from alert-and-assist to detect-and-repair, which will be tested against the reliability bar for production-critical remediation, since an incorrect autonomous fix carries real operational risk. DataAgent is entering a crowded observability and AIOps field at pre-seed against well-capitalized incumbents, so the signal worth tracking is whether early North American customers are willing to let an unsupervised agent act on production Kubernetes clusters without human sign-off.
