NAVER sets November 6 payment date for NVIDIA's $1 billion AI factory investment
NAVER has set November 6 as the payment date for NVIDIA's planned $1 billion investment through a third-party share allotment. The company said it met a condition requiring at least $9 billion in computing infrastructure for its AI factory expansion, excluding the proceeds from this allotment. The final share count will be set on November 3, and the new shares are scheduled to list on November 27. NVIDIA's stake is expected to be about 4.8%.
The investment supports an AI infrastructure project that NAVER announced in July with Brookfield and NVIDIA. The $10 billion project links a major capital commitment to the expansion of computing infrastructure. NAVER plans to use all proceeds from NVIDIA's investment for new business related to the AI factory. Most planned spending is allocated to 2027 and later, though the company said those figures may change as the business progresses.
For investors, the next concrete checks are the final share count, the payment, and subsequent disclosures on how NAVER deploys the funds. The filing provides a spending schedule, but it does not establish customer demand or returns from the AI factory business. NAVER expects to file a further correction once the final share count and amount raised are set.
