Daytona raises $60M at $1B valuation to expand its AI agent cloud
Daytona has raised a $60 million Series B led by FirstMark at a $1 billion valuation, bringing total funding to $91 million. Participants included Okta Ventures, Qualcomm Ventures, Samsung Next and individual investors including Stripe's Patrick Collison and Shopify's Tobi Lutke. The company plans to expand beyond its initial sandbox product, scale computing infrastructure and recruit across San Francisco, Croatia and Singapore. Daytona reports that its revenue run rate increased 25-fold between January and September, without disclosing the absolute figure.
The investment backs the execution layer beneath AI agents: isolated environments where software can run code, use tools and preserve progress between tasks. Daytona provides these environments through a single API, supports Linux, Windows and macOS, and allows agents to pause, resume or explore alternative approaches. This places it in AI infrastructure, with an emphasis on managing agent workloads rather than supplying the models that direct them. The company names Anthropic, OpenAI, NVIDIA, Cursor and Cognition among its customers, connecting its infrastructure to both model development and coding applications.
For investors, the concrete diligence question is whether adoption translates into attractive economics as computing capacity expands. The reported growth multiple provides no absolute revenue baseline, and the article supplies no gross-margin or customer-concentration figures. Those measures would help assess whether Daytona's expanding agent cloud can support its valuation as usage scales.
