Incremental update to the known AI agents player map; confirms the trend of enterprise agent adoption and funding, but introduces no new structural force or open-debate resolution.
French startup Delos has raised €10 million in a Series A round led by Bpifrance, with participation from C4 Ventures and Founders Future, to scale its autonomous AI workforce platform. The company, founded three years ago, provides businesses with "AI employees" — digital workers with names, roles, dedicated email addresses, phone numbers, cloud computers, and long-term memory — that can independently execute complex tasks like sales prospecting, client follow-up, CRM updates, and inbound calls.
Delos reports it already serves 300 companies, including TotalEnergies, MeilleurTaux, Icade, and Schmidt Cuisines, and has deployed 2,000 virtual employees. The product launched only four months ago, yet recurring revenue has already climbed from €2.5 million to €5 million in one quarter. The company plans to use the new funds to expand internationally, with an immediate focus on the US market, where it has already signed two contracts, and to deepen vertical specializations—eventually offering AI data analysts, financial controllers, and full AI teams.
For enterprise buyers, Delos represents a shift from narrow, task-based agents toward autonomous workers that manage end-to-end processes, a development that could reshape organizational structures and workforce planning. For investors, the rapid revenue ramp—doubling in a single quarter—suggests that demand for such agentic solutions is real, but the competitive landscape remains crowded, with both startups and incumbents vying to define the enterprise agent category. The success of Delos will depend on its ability to prove that digital employees can deliver measurable ROI at scale, while also navigating questions of job displacement and the changing role of human managers.
