FreJun, a cloud calling platform founded in 2020, has launched Teler, a programmable voice platform designed to connect AI applications to phone networks. Teler allows developers to make and receive calls, stream live conversations to AI systems, and control call flows via APIs, webhooks, and SDKs. The platform supports WebSocket-based real-time media streaming and SIP trunking, enabling integration with existing enterprise telephony infrastructure.
The launch positions FreJun in the rapidly expanding voice AI infrastructure layer, as enterprises shift from demos to production deployments. According to Deepgram’s 2025 State of Voice AI survey, 67% of organizations consider voice AI core to their product and business strategy, and 84% plan to increase spending in the next 12 months. Teler enters a competitive market that includes Twilio, Plivo, Telnyx, and Vonage globally, with Exotel and Ozonetel established in India.
For builders, Teler’s model-agnostic approach means developers can select their preferred LLM, speech-to-text, and text-to-speech technologies without being locked into a specific provider. FreJun’s initial focus is on India and the Middle East, with expansion planned into additional markets. The 15-member engineering team developed Teler, which is now generally available without a waitlist, signaling a push to capture developer mindshare in the voice AI infrastructure segment.
