Hiasynth raises angel funding to build a queryable synthetic model of Europe's population
The AMW Read
A new entrant packages a synthetic, MCP-queryable population dataset as agent-native market-intelligence infrastructure, but the round is an undisclosed angel/pre-seed amount with no market proof yet.
Hiasynth raises angel funding to build a queryable synthetic model of Europe's population
Hiasynth has closed an angel round led by Further Than Capital, joined by three additional angel investors including Stefan Lindeberg, a Further Than Capital backer and co-founder of Creandum. The Munich- and Europe-focused startup, founded by Emma Agering, has built a synthetic model of Europe's population at population scale: roughly half a billion synthetic personas spread across 37 countries, each carrying more than 600 co-varying attributes covering income, housing, consumption, habits and values. The model maps 3.7 million micro-zones and places every persona inside a constructed household so consumption patterns hold together internally. The product is designed to be queried through MCP (Model Context Protocol), letting AI assistants such as Claude and ChatGPT pull structured population data directly rather than generating answers from memory. Hiasynth launches in September 2026 at Bits & Pretzels in Munich; the round funds product development ahead of a planned seed raise, with no dollar figure disclosed.
The pitch reframes European market intelligence, historically a fragmented, enterprise-priced service repeated per country, as a single queryable dataset. That matters because it targets a specific weakness in how language models handle market-sizing and consumer questions: models are fluent but ungrounded, producing plausible answers with no way to check them against real distributions. A structured, queryable population substrate is a grounding layer rather than another chat interface, distributing through MCP instead of a dashboard.
For builders, the MCP-first launch signals this is built as agent infrastructure from day one, a bet other data-layer startups serving AI agents will likely copy. For investors, this is early-stage capital, an undisclosed angel round from a boutique fund securing position with a repeat founder before a seed round, not yet evidence the model holds up against real market outcomes.
