LG has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with NVIDIA to develop humanoid robots, with the first model scheduled for release in the first quarter of next year. The announcement was made after a meeting at NVIDIA's headquarters in Santa Clara, California, where LG's CEO Koo Kwang-mo and NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang discussed collaboration across robotics, AI factories, and mobility. The robot will be equipped with NVIDIA's Jetson Thor onboard computer, the Isaac Groot foundation model, and the Helios for Robotics safety system, combining LG Electronics actuators, LG Innotek sensors, and LG Energy Solution batteries. The MOU marks a concrete step in the partnership that began with a meeting between the CEOs in June.
