Meta debuts a three-tier AI glasses lineup with Muse voice-assistant integration at Connect.
Meta used its Connect event to unveil a broader glasses lineup and wire its Muse personal assistant directly into the hardware for hands-free task handling and schedule management. The new Ray-Ban Meta Audio model ships October 13 at $349, weighing 43 grams with 12 hours of battery life (48 hours with the charging case) and no camera. The third-generation Ray-Ban Meta glasses get a lighter build, 9-hour battery life, a 12-megapixel camera, 3K video recording, and Dolby Atmos audio, starting at $449. Meta also added a LISA-branded collaboration model and a $249 entry-level Meta Glasses option, while expanding retail availability to Singapore and South Korea.
This is the delivery point for a plan Meta previewed only a day earlier, when it described extending Muse from a chat app into a cross-channel assistant with computer-use and smart-glasses access. Putting Muse on the face rather than in an app is Meta's bet that the glasses form factor, not the phone screen, becomes the primary interface for its consumer agent — a wager that only works if people actually wear the hardware daily. Splitting the audio-only $349 model from the camera-equipped $449 model also lets Meta test how much of Muse's value survives without vision input.
For builders, Meta's move sets a hardware-distribution bar that pure-software consumer agents can't match without a device partner, worth weighing when sizing go-to-market against Meta's WhatsApp and now glasses reach. For investors tracking Meta's agent push, the signal to watch is attach rate and retention on the cheaper audio-only SKU, since a camera-free device is the fastest way to learn whether voice-only agent interaction has standalone demand.
