Nation A raises 8.5 billion won to integrate AI video production
Nation A has secured 8.5 billion won in Series A funding, bringing total funding to 11.7 billion won. Existing investor Hana Securities participated alongside new investors KDB Development Bank, Hyundai Investment Partners and Ilshin Venture Investment. Founded in 2022, the company has operated AI video creation tools and an interactive drama platform where viewers influence storylines. It now plans to combine the two services into one platform spanning image, sound and voice generation, video generation and editing, targeting overseas creators and business customers.
The move puts Nation A in the generative-media market's competition over production workflows and delivery costs. Connecting creation stages could reduce the effort and expense of switching between tools. Nation A also operates its own GPU servers and is optimizing inference to reduce dependence on external AI services. That makes infrastructure efficiency part of its product strategy, although the report provides no measured cost savings or evidence that the integrated platform improves customer retention.
For investors, the concrete test is whether lower production costs translate into sustainable margins as paid usage grows. Operating GPU infrastructure adds a utilization requirement: savings depend on keeping capacity productive. Nation A will use the funding for platform development, GPU infrastructure and overseas customer acquisition, with a stated goal of reaching break-even soon. Paid-customer growth and cost per completed video would help assess whether that goal is becoming attainable.
