primeNumber introduces approval-based agents for data infrastructure operations
primeNumber announced its Autonomous Data Platform (ADP) on October 15 and began accepting sales inquiries that day, initially targeting data administrators at companies using TROCCO or COMETA. The platform offers five agent types covering change detection, maintenance, construction, context preparation, and governance. They reference and operate both TROCCO, its data integration and transformation service, and COMETA, its data catalog. Administrators review and approve agent proposals or execution results through a management portal.
The launch places agent functionality inside the data-preparation and metadata layer that enterprise AI depends on. Its scope includes responding to changes in connected systems, handling employee requests for data, and updating definitions and context. The strategic opportunity is to connect operational changes with the meaning of the affected data: a catalog supplies context, while integration tooling provides an execution surface. This gives primeNumber an existing product base through which to introduce automation, although the announcement does not establish how reliably the agents handle these tasks.
For enterprise builders, the concrete evaluation is whether approval reduces work or merely moves it into a review queue. A pilot should measure administrator time saved on a recurring source-system change, alongside the accuracy of proposed changes and their effects on dependent data. The approval portal is therefore central to the product's value: reviewers need enough context to judge an action without recreating the investigation themselves.
