TigerX secures angel funding for TigerMind and industrial robotics validation
Hangzhou-based TigerX has raised tens of millions of yuan in angel funding from Puhua Capital and Hengze Capital. Founded in July 2026 by Zhejiang University control science and engineering professor Hou Dibo, the company will fund development of its TigerMind world model, edge intelligence and industrial embodied AI systems, alongside joint validation with industry partners. Co-founder Lin Feng previously held leadership roles at Alibaba, Ant Group and DingTalk.
TigerX is targeting the robot intelligence layer: combining vision, force sensing and touch to understand physical states and predict action outcomes. Its technical work spans perception fusion, causal reasoning, skill learning and coordination between high-level cognition and low-level control. This positions it within the emerging market for embodied intelligence models, where the investment question is whether shared capabilities can transfer between physical tasks. Its Rock Plan brings partners into scenario development across public utilities, industrial infrastructure and smart home care, with underground inspection and kitchen operations among the applications being explored.
For investors and prospective deployment partners, the next useful evidence is measured performance in those environments. The report says world-model performance, transfer across scenarios and commercial project scale remain under development and validation; named customers and operating data have not been disclosed. Evaluation should therefore focus on task completion, intervention requirements and transfer between settings before treating the proposed breadth of applications as evidence of a repeatable commercial product.
