Nvidia's investment and technical collaboration incrementally strengthen Simplismart's position in inference software, but the round and reported customer results do not establish a segment-wide shift.
Simplismart raises $14 million to expand its AI inference platform
Bengaluru-based Simplismart raised an all-primary $14 million Series B led by Dallas Venture Capital, with Nvidia, Accel, Shastra VC, and Micromax participating. TechCrunch reported a valuation of about $100 million, including the new funding. Its software adjusts model deployment and resource use across its platform, customers' clouds, and on-premises infrastructure. It also supports fine-tuning, automatic scaling, and performance monitoring.
The investment highlights competition over the software layer between models and GPU infrastructure. Simplismart targets application-specific response times, request volumes, and costs, competing with Nvidia's own offerings and major cloud providers. Nvidia is both an investor and a technical collaborator, including on integrations around Dynamo inference software. That relationship can help Simplismart reach customers, while also placing it alongside a supplier with competing tools. Simplismart says it cut InVideo's GPU serving costs by 56%; the article provides no independent validation or workload details.
For investors, revenue quality is a concrete diligence question. CEO Amritanshu Jain said annualized revenue grew 14-fold in six months to an undisclosed eight-figure run rate. That measure reflects recent usage, excludes infrastructure-provider pass-through revenue, and is not contracted recurring revenue. Builders should test savings against their own service-level requirements and total costs. Customer-specific results matter more than a general promise of faster or cheaper inference.
