Tessolve raises $75 million to expand semiconductor engineering services
Bengaluru-based Tessolve Semiconductor, a Hero Electronix company, has raised $75 million in a round led by US-based Vector Line Capital, according to media reports cited by DealStreetAsia. The proceeds will support growth and strategic acquisitions intended to complement its capabilities, broaden its services, and strengthen its global presence. The company previously secured $150 million from TPG in September 2025. Founded by Srini Chinamilli in 2004, Tessolve operates in more than 10 countries and employs over 3,500 engineers.
The AI-market relevance lies in the engineering services supporting chip development and deployment. Tessolve spans chip architecture and design, test development, embedded systems, and turnkey delivery through packaged parts. Its customers include semiconductor companies, hyperscalers, chip startups, and system companies serving AI, high-performance computing, automotive, data centers, and industrial applications. This positions it within the infrastructure supplier ecosystem, where design and testing capabilities support the hardware beneath AI workloads. Tessolve also operates silicon and system testing labs and works with 18 of the world's top 20 semiconductor companies, according to the report.
For investors, the concrete diligence question is whether acquisitions extend Tessolve's engineering capabilities and customer access. Its stated acquisition objectives provide a basis for assessing subsequent deals, but the report identifies no targets and provides no AI-specific revenue breakdown. The funding therefore supports an engineering-services expansion thesis; it does not establish how much of that growth will come from AI customers.
