Former Meta engineer Ruchir Baronia launched Frontdesk, an AI startup that has automated millions of business calls. The platform handles interactions for small businesses, recently generating 33,000 USD for a dealership in just 5 days. This move reflects a systemic shift where Big Tech talent leaves stable roles to build agentic AI for local sectors. By replacing receptionists with 24/7 digital workers, high-tier technology is finally scaling for local economies. 🚀
