Voiceloo's Polita is an incremental update to a known player in the AI localization space, but its hybrid AI-plus-human review model and 70-language support represent a meaningful segment-level development in generative media.
Voiceloo, an AI-based content localization company, has launched Polita, a B2B dubbing production service that combines AI generation with expert review. The service uses AI for translation and dubbing, then has language experts verify and correct the entire output before delivery. Voice actor errors are prevented at the generation stage by analyzing video to identify speakers and feeding that information into the AI engine, ensuring dialogues are not assigned to the wrong character's voice.
The company applies zero-shot speech-to-speech to generate spoken text matching the original audio without additional training, and selects from its own voice model library based on content type. For content where the original speaker's acting and emotion are important, it uses a voice conversion method that reflects breathing and emotional arcs; for educational and e-learning content, it assigns suitable voices per speaker. Voiceloo claims the service reduces costs by 60-80% compared to professional voice recording and cuts production time by about one-fifth, delivering a 30-minute video in roughly five business days.
Polita is already used in various fields, including all 26 episodes of an animation series, over 300 educational and e-learning titles, a 12-episode broadcast and OTT production, more than 10,000 lines of game dialogue, and an audiobook featuring 14 speakers. The service supports 70 languages, including English, Japanese, Chinese, Spanish, French, Vietnamese, Thai, and Indonesian, using the same production process. This launch highlights the growing emphasis on not just fast multilingual production but also preserving original meaning, emotion, and consistent character voices for global distribution.
