Zenzap raises $44M to bring AI workflows into workplace messaging

Zenzap has raised $44 million from investors including Bessemer, Lightspeed, and The Garage for its workplace messenger with AI search and workflow automation. Founded in 2022 by Guy Weiss, Noam Neumann, and Jonatan Bien, the company targets businesses ranging from hospitality and construction to healthcare and fast food. It has 50 employees across the U.S., Tel Aviv, and Europe, and plans to hire in product and R&D.

The market opportunity sits in enterprise operations: making everyday staff conversations a usable interface for AI-assisted work. Zenzap combines messaging, tasks, calendars, and scheduling with workspace search, message-to-task conversion, transcription, and automation agents. Its proposed entry point is mobile communication among employees using personal messaging apps for work. That makes workflow adoption and organizational context central to its competitive position. Weiss argues that consumer messengers lack the required IT controls and that Slack and Teams do not fit this audience's daily mobile use; those remain competitive claims rather than demonstrated advantages.

For builders and investors, the concrete question is whether messaging adoption converts into sustained paid AI usage. Plans start at $51 per month for up to 20 users, while automation agents and AI-assisted transcription use credits, creating separate subscription and usage-based revenue opportunities. Zenzap lists brands including FedEx, Dollar General, and Starbucks as clients, and Weiss describes use by individual fast-food branches. The report provides no revenue, retention, or paid AI adoption figures, leaving the scale and economics of those relationships unquantified.
