Zhipu launches AutoClaw with one-click installation and browser automation
Zhipu has released AutoClaw, a locally installed OpenClaw agent package for Windows and macOS. The company says installation takes one minute, with more than 50 preloaded skills spanning content creation, office work, programming, marketing, and finance. It offers one-click integration with messaging tools including Feishu and supports model APIs from DeepSeek, Kimi, MiniMax, and GLM. AutoClaw also integrates Zhipu's AutoGLM Browser-Use capability and Pony-Alpha-2, a model optimized for OpenClaw scenarios that remains in internal testing. Free trial credits and multiple paid plans are available.
The launch puts Zhipu into the desktop-agent distribution market, where installation friction and workflow integration can matter alongside model capability. Its combination of packaged skills, messaging access, and browser automation addresses the practical steps between accessing a model and delegating work. Support for competing model APIs makes the agent interface a potential customer entry point independent of the underlying model provider. That creates a test of whether orchestration and convenience can sustain differentiation when users can switch models; the announcement supplies no task-success or adoption evidence to settle it.
For builders and investors, the concrete diligence question is whether easier setup translates into dependable execution. Evaluate complete browser and office workflows, including recovery when a step fails, rather than treating installation speed or the number of bundled skills as proof of productivity. Local installation also does not establish local inference: the disclosed API support means deployment location and model execution need separate assessment. Pony-Alpha-2's testing status leaves its contribution to reliability unproven in this announcement.
