# allO Raises €12M Series A for AI-Powered Restaurant Operating System

Munich-based allO has raised €12 million ($14 million) in Series A funding led by Zigg Capital, with participation from LifeX Ventures, Aperture, and Wecken & Cie., alongside existing backers 20VC and Keen Venture Partners. The company offers an AI-native operating system that unifies POS, payments, reservations, kiosks, delivery, webshop, and back office into a single platform, topped with AI-powered "digital employees." Its Reservation and Ordering Agent — a voice agent that answers calls and processes reservations and takeaway orders — is the first of more than ten planned digital employees. allO now serves over 1,000 active restaurant locations across Germany, with locations up 6x and revenue up 3.5x year-on-year since its seed round.

The Series A reflects the deepening pattern of vertical AI agents replacing fragmented legacy software stacks in high-volume, low-margin industries. Restaurants, particularly independent and ethnic cuisine operators, represent an underserved market where legacy POS systems are too generic and too complex. allO's approach — a unified platform with agentic overlays that automate phone calls, inventory management, and menu pricing — directly addresses the labor shortage and margin compression that define the sector. The round also illustrates the capital efficiency of vertical AI: allO achieved 3.5x revenue growth and 6x location growth without requiring hyperscaler-scale investment, a dynamic that contrasts sharply with foundation-model capital cycles.

The €12 million round is modest by AI industry standards but significant as a data point for vertical agent economics. allO tackles a classic enterprise problem — fragmented, outdated software — with an AI-native rebuild and an agent layer that reduces the cognitive load on non-technical users. The company's focus on ethnic cuisine, which accounts for roughly 70% of Germany's restaurants, shows how AI can unlock long-tail verticals ignored by incumbents. The key question is whether allO can expand beyond its German base and defend against incumbents like Toast, which has far deeper distribution and financial resources, or against generalist AI assistants that may target the same workflows. For now, allO demonstrates that vertical AI operating systems can achieve product-market fit and capital-efficient growth, reinforcing the pattern of AI agents displacing legacy SaaS by reducing setup time from weeks to minutes.
