The AMW Read
Incremental product extension by a cyber-resilience vendor into agent-state and agent-resource recovery; segment-level signal as agents move from advice to irreversible production actions.
Cohesity launches Agent Resilience for Amazon Bedrock agents, with GA targeted for late 2026
At its Catalyst event, Cohesity introduced Cohesity Agent Resilience, a Cohesity Data Cloud capability that discovers, protects, and recovers the infrastructure behind enterprise AI agents. At launch it supports Amazon Bedrock AgentCore and Amazon Bedrock Agents, with Microsoft and Google agent platforms on the roadmap. Limited customer availability is already underway; general availability is planned for the end of 2026. The company also outlined an Autonomous Cyber Resilience vision that would automate its five-step cyber-resilience framework with agentic workflows, and opened early access to a free AI Resilience Academy course for Catalyst attendees.
The product targets a gap that governance and observability tools do not close: when agents query databases, update workflows, or use privileged credentials without human confirmation, they can change, corrupt, or delete systems—and detection alone cannot roll those changes back. Cohesity cites Gartner’s forecast that task-specific agents embedded in enterprise applications could rise from about 5% in 2025 to as much as 40% by the end of 2026, plus its own Global Cyber Resilience Report finding that 56% of organizations feel underprepared to detect and contain unexpected agent or automation actions and 58% lack confidence verifying AI model and related-data integrity after an attack. Agent Resilience pairs point-in-time recovery for agent memory and configuration with protection of the databases, filesystems, and services those agents touch, plus a topology view of agent-to-resource dependencies.
For builders and buyers running agents with write access in production, the near-term implication is to treat agent state and agent-reachable data as first-class recovery surfaces—not only as monitored workloads. Bedrock-first support and later Microsoft/Google coverage will matter for multi-cloud agent stacks; investors should read the move as cyber-resilience vendors extending into agent operations as enterprises push agents from advisory tools into action-taking systems.
