EPAM Systems adds data generation and simulation services for enterprise AI

EPAM Systems launched an AI services offering in early October 2026 covering high-fidelity data generation, model evaluation and custom reinforcement learning environments, according to Simply Wall St. The environments simulate enterprise systems in secure, closed-loop settings, targeting reliability, compliance and tool use in complex, multi-step agent workflows. The offering is intended to help frontier models handle regulated and mission-critical enterprise tasks more reliably; the report provides no measured performance improvements or named customer deployments.

The launch positions EPAM in the data-preparation and evaluation layer supporting enterprise agents. Its relevance is the connection between model training and the systems an agent must actually operate: custom environments can provide a setting to practice actions and evaluate outcomes before deployment. This addresses the gap between agent capability demonstrations and production reliability. Simply Wall St reports that AI-native work already contributes more than 11% of EPAM's revenue, but that broader revenue share does not establish demand for the newly launched services.

For enterprise builders, a concrete procurement test is whether the simulated environment reproduces their tools, permissions and failure conditions closely enough to make evaluation results useful. For investors, the evidence to watch is conversion into paid, multiyear contracts. The report identifies a pipeline of roughly 10 large deals spanning AI-led work, vendor consolidation and managed services, with conversion expected from early 2027; it does not identify those deals as customers of this offering. The launch expands EPAM's services scope, while its commercial contribution remains unproven.
