Exabytes Group has launched GROW AI, a strategic initiative to help businesses move from isolated AI pilots to enterprise-wide adoption, and signed a three-year memorandum of understanding with Aurora Mobile's enterprise AI platform, GPTBots.ai. The announcement was made at the Exabytes GROW AI Summit 2026 in Kuala Lumpur, where over 500 business leaders and public-sector stakeholders gathered. The partnership combines Exabytes' cloud infrastructure, managed services, and regional network with Aurora Mobile's AI agent and workflow automation capabilities, targeting solutions from SME customer-service assistants to private AI deployments for governments.

GROW AI is built on principles of being reliable, accessible, scalable, and AI-driven (RASA), integrating Exabytes' cloud, cybersecurity, eCommerce, and automation offerings. The launch aligns with Malaysia's AI Nation 2030 vision, but a 2025 Ecosystm study found that only 21% of 133 Malaysian SMEs had progressed beyond AI pilots, with 60% citing a lack of in-house technical expertise as a major barrier. Exabytes aims to empower one million businesses by 2030, positioning itself as a regional enabler for AI adoption in Southeast Asia.

For builders and investors, this move underscores the growing demand for "AI implementation services" โ€” not just models or infrastructure, but the local expertise to deploy them securely and effectively. The partnership signals that mid-tier regional players like Exabytes are becoming critical channels for enterprise AI platforms such as GPTBots.ai, potentially reshaping how AI vendors reach SMEs and public-sector customers in emerging markets. Investors should watch whether this model of local-cloud-plus-AI-agents becomes a template for other regions.
