Intrans begins accepting orders for Blackwell GPU servers for data center environments
Intrans Co., Ltd. (Tokyo Stock Exchange Growth: 3237), a Japanese real estate and hotel operator expanding into AI data center services, announced on July 13, 2026 that it has begun accepting orders for servers equipped with the NVIDIA RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell Server Edition GPU. The company is partnering with Digital Dynamic Co., Ltd. to supply these high-performance servers for AI inference and training workloads, targeting the chronic GPU supply shortage in Japan's data center market. Deliveries are scheduled to begin in August 2026.
The move marks Intrans's entry into AI infrastructure at a time when Japanese enterprises face acute GPU scarcity, especially for Blackwell-generation hardware. The company highlights that Japan's GPU server market is projected to grow from ¥840 billion (~$5.6B) in 2024 to ¥2.25 trillion (~$15B) by 2030, while domestic data center capacity remains concentrated in a few regions, creating supply-demand imbalances and resilience risks. Intrans positions itself as a stable procurement channel, leveraging its partnership with Digital Dynamic's parent, Dynamic Solution Group, to offer Blackwell-based servers that support large language model inference, digital twins, and real-time video analytics.
This development fits the recurring pattern of hyperscaler-distribution moats extending downward: as NVIDIA Blackwell GPUs remain supply-constrained globally, regional aggregators like Intrans can capture value by bridging allocation gaps in underserved markets. However, Intrans is a new entrant with limited AI track record — its core business is hospitality and real estate — which introduces execution risk. The move also reflects the sovereign AI push in Japan, where the government's AI strategy and DX promotion are driving demand for domestic compute capacity. Whether Intrans can translate GPU procurement into a sustainable infrastructure business, or whether this is a capital-cycle signal of non-traditional players chasing AI demand, is a question that will shape Japan's AI compute landscape.
