Manicule raises $1.3 million for AI agent-focused software discovery
Manicule raised $1.3 million in seed funding through Simple Agreements for Future Equity. Y Combinator and Broom Ventures co-led the round, with participation from angel investors. The San Francisco-based startup helps software companies improve how AI systems discover, recommend, and interact with their products. It works with Supermemory, Greptile, PromptLayer, Bright Data, and Courier.
Manicule's approach targets a distribution question for the AI agent market: whether a product is both visible to an assistant and usable by an agent. The company restructures technical content and API documentation and helps clients redesign authentication. It combines automated systems with human supervision for research, technical writing, and content distribution. Its initial focus is developer tools, although the service addresses how agents reach software rather than the developer's coding workflow itself.
For builders and investors, the distinction between a recommendation and product use is a test of the business. A useful evaluation would track whether agents can register, test a product, and complete tasks, alongside whether recommendations lead to adoption. Manicule says it aims to improve those outcomes, but the source provides no customer adoption or conversion figures. The funding supports an early entrant; it does not establish the effectiveness of its approach.
