German robotics firm NEURA Mobile Robots GmbH announced it will absorb Bosch Rexroth's ACTIVE Shuttle driverless transport system, effective October 1, 2026. The deal folds the autonomous transport platform and its core software — ACTIVE Fleet Manager and ROKIT laser SLAM navigation stack — into NEURA's Hamburg subsidiary. Notably, Bosch is both seller and a Series C backer of NEURA, which raised up to $1.4 billion at a $7 billion valuation in June 2026 with investors including NVIDIA, Amazon, Qualcomm, Tether, and the European Investment Bank.
The strategic prize is the software, not the hardware. ROKIT's infrastructure-free navigation and the Fleet Manager's multi-vehicle orchestration layer create vendor lock-in once embedded in factory workflows. By integrating these tools into Neuraverse, NEURA's cloud platform for robot learning and skill-sharing, the company is building a shared intelligence layer across its cobots, mobile platforms, and humanoids — positioning itself as a portfolio play in physical AI rather than a single-product vendor.
For builders and investors, the deal signals consolidation in the AMR fleet-management market, valued at roughly $180 million in 2025 per the article, with NEURA aiming to control the orchestration layer that ties diverse robot classes together.
