Nuvia raises $1.8M to expand AI sales agents across Latin America

Brazilian AI startup Nuvia raised $1.8 million in a round led by Amador Capital and Nascent, with NXTP, Crivo Ventures, Delusional Capital, and Spectra Investimentos also participating. The raise follows a $1.7 million round in April 2025. Founded in 2024 by John Paz, Antero Silva, and Arthur Sorelli, Nuvia builds AI agents for sales and customer service that connect WhatsApp, Instagram, voice, web, and email to CRMs and other business tools. About 90% of clients are in Brazil, with the rest in Mexico, Colombia, and Iberia; the funding will go toward product development and sales and marketing hires as Nuvia expands across those markets.

The round is a small but useful signal on how AI agent adoption is spreading through Latin America's SMB and mid-market segment. Nuvia's pitch rests less on model capability than on channel coverage — plugging directly into WhatsApp and Instagram, the default customer-contact surfaces across Brazil and the wider region, and routing conversations into existing CRM workflows. That distribution-first approach is common among regional AI agent vendors, who differentiate on messaging and CRM integration rather than on proprietary models built from scratch.

The more informative data point than the round size is the usage case Nuvia cites: confectionery brand Chocolat Du Jour handled about 25,000 customer interactions in under eight days over Easter, with AI agents managing 91% of conversations. Throughput and automation-rate figures like that, not funding totals, are what will separate scaling regional agent vendors from the many similarly sized competitors chasing the same WhatsApp-and-CRM niche across Brazil, Mexico, and Colombia.
