Robutler Raises $400K for Agent Discovery and Collaborative Software
Robutler has raised $400,000 from ZAS Ventures, its first institutional investment, to build a public platform for publishing, remixing and monetizing software applications. The company describes its product as a shared library of free professional-grade apps across documents, presentations, design, video, engineering, whiteboards, project management, music and games, with real-time collaboration built in. Makers can publish applications, allow others to modify them, and receive revenue shares based on usage, including attribution to contributors whose work was remixed.
The more consequential claim sits beneath the application layer. Robutler says its Web of Agents enables applications and AI agents to discover one another, establish trust and collaborate through natural language. It also says the platform connects to external AI assistants and coding agents including Claude and Codex. The company has filed three patent applications covering agent discovery, trust ranking and usage attribution, published TrustFlow research on arXiv, and developed Agent OAuth and UAMP protocols for identity and cross-organizational agent messaging. That positions the company in an increasingly contested part of the agent market: the coordination layer that could determine how autonomous tools find, verify and transact with one another.
For builders, the test will be whether open protocols and attribution create useful interoperability without adding friction to product integration. For investors, the $400,000 round is too small to validate a platform thesis, but it establishes an early wager on agent identity, discovery and trust as distinct infrastructure problems rather than features embedded within a single assistant. Robutler will need adoption from both app makers and agent developers to prove that its marketplace economics and coordination layer reinforce each other.
