Serval has introduced Catalyst in beta, extending its IT automation platform with an agent that can configure integrations and generate workflows, skills, and dashboards. The release also uses background agents to scan device fleets and operational data for performance and security risks before a user submits a ticket. Proposed changes are staged for human review rather than being applied without oversight.
The important shift is from ticket-driven assistance toward earlier operational intervention. In a conventional IT workflow, an issue becomes actionable after an employee or administrator notices and reports it. Catalyst is positioned to identify signals first, then assemble the integrations and workflow logic needed to propose a response.
