Tenet Security raises $6M to prevent attacks on enterprise AI agents using Agent-side Simulation technology

Tenet Security emerged from stealth with $6 million in seed funding to defend enterprise AI agents against malicious behavior. The startup's patent-pending Agent-side Simulation technology predicts and stops attacks in real time, addressing a critical vulnerability as enterprises deploy autonomous agents.

The funding arrives at a pivotal moment in the AI industry's agentic turn. As enterprises rush to deploy AI agents for sales, customer service, and internal operations, the attack surface expands dramatically — yet dedicated agent-security tooling remains nascent. Tenet's simulation-based approach is an early bet on a pattern we call "context-engineering moat" (Segment 02, §5): the idea that the winning security vendor will be the one that deeply understands agentic workflows and runtime behavior, not just traditional network perimeters. This $6M seed is small, but the problem it addresses is structural: if agents become the primary interface for enterprise interactions, securing them becomes existential.

This is a textbook example of the "Agent Security" sub-segment forming within the broader AI Agents substrate (Segment 02). The company's pedigree — founded by former Cisco AI defense builders — suggests domain credibility. However, the market is still pre-revenue and pre-standard; no dominant player has emerged. Tenet must prove that Agent-side Simulation delivers low false-positive rates at production scale, or risk being displaced by hyperscaler-incumbent security suites that add agent-governance features. The open question is whether agent-security will be a standalone category or a feature absorbed by CrowdStrike, Palo Alto Networks, and Microsoft.
