Violoop raises RMB100M+-scale funding round for HDMI/USB desktop AI agent, deepens Lenovo partnership

Violoop, a China-based startup building a desktop AI agent device, has closed a hundred-million-RMB-scale (RMB 100M+, roughly $14M+) angel and Pre-A financing round. Investors include Lenovo Capital, CICC, BlueRun Ventures, Yuansheng Capital, Qifu Capital, and Zero2IPO Ventures, with Xiangyang Capital serving as exclusive long-term financial advisor. The company says it has taken roughly 12,000 pre-order deposits globally ahead of a September launch, with the hardware priced at $699 retail ($399 for the Kickstarter and China domestic launch).

The product is a palm-sized device that plugs into an existing PC via HDMI to read the screen and via USB to control keyboard and mouse, letting the agent operate across whatever software a user already runs rather than waiting for app-by-app API integrations. Founder He Jialin frames the differentiation around three growth layers on top of a base model: persistent multimodal memory the user can inspect and edit, a reusable workflow and skills library built from repeated tasks, and periodic personalized fine-tuning that folds validated corrections into on-device model weights (26 TOPS locally, routed to cloud models for harder reasoning). For irreversible actions like sending, paying, deleting, or submitting, the device requires a physical button press, isolating final authorization from the software stack.

For builders, the physical-confirmation gate is a concrete answer to the trust problem of letting an agent operate real software autonomously, and the screen/keyboard-level approach sidesteps the long tail of software that will never expose agent-friendly APIs. For investors, the round size is modest relative to the ambition and the product is still pre-launch, so the 12,000-deposit figure is the more immediate signal to track, along with whether the Lenovo relationship grows into a real PC-OEM distribution channel beyond one investor line.
