The planned agency acquisitions meaningfully expand Enso's agent business into direct service delivery, but the impact remains within marketing and the economics are unproven.
Enso plans up to $25 million in agency acquisitions to expand AI marketing operations
Enso plans to acquire Israeli performance marketing agency PPG Digital and U.S. marketing and go-to-market firm LeadCoverage for approximately $20 million to $25 million, according to CTech. The Israeli AI-agent startup expects the deals to add around 50 employees to its current team of 26. Enso recently announced a $15 million round led by MoreTech Ventures, bringing total funding to $23 million. CTech reports that another significant fundraising round is planned to finance the acquisitions; the transactions are not reported as completed.
The move would put Enso's marketing agents inside established service businesses, giving it access to marketing expertise, client relationships and operating workflows. Its agents analyze platform rankings, recommendations and citations, test approaches through small experiments, and turn successful methods into continuously executed workflows. This makes the acquisitions a test of whether autonomous experimentation can improve the economics of labor-intensive agency work. Buying agencies provides a route to customer delivery, but the article offers no evidence yet that automation has improved their margins or reduced the human work required.
For investors, the concrete diligence question is how much acquired client work Enso can automate while preserving campaign results and customer relationships. Agency revenue alone would not establish that its agent technology is working. Separating revenue from acquired contracts from measurable improvements in delivery costs would help assess the strategy. With additional fundraising still planned, acquisition financing and integration execution also remain central to evaluating the proposal.
