During PM Narendra Modi's visit to the UAE, President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan gifted a Cerebras wafer-scale chip, formalizing the Condor Galaxy India partnership. Under the agreement, 64 Cerebras CS-3 systems will be deployed in India, creating an 8-exaflop AI supercomputing cluster. The cluster will be built in collaboration with Abu Dhabi's G42, bringing sovereign AI compute onshore for India.
This deal exemplifies the hyperscaler-distribution-plus-sovereign-capital pattern, where a compute platform vendor (Cerebras) gains a large-scale beachhead through geopolitical alignment rather than pure market competition. For Cerebras, it secures a marquee customer in India's state-backed AI mission and a non-China, non-US market.
