Bleu Robotics raises €5 million for industrial humanoid software
Paris-based Bleu Robotics has raised €5 million in pre-seed funding to expand its team and scale its software across industries. Contrarian Ventures and OVNI Capital co-led the round, with participation from Kvanted, WEPA Ventures, Motier Ventures and investor Charlie Songhurst. The company aims to reduce the full humanoid deployment process to one hour or less. Bleu says it is working with two major industrial companies and developing relationships with robot distributors.
Bleu is targeting the software layer of industrial robotics, where manufacturers need machines to learn tasks and adapt as production changes. The company says its abductive learning model infers a task's goal and constraints from operator demonstrations. It claims a robot can learn a task from as few as ten demonstrations while retaining explainability and the accuracy needed for production. Operators use handheld grippers to demonstrate tasks at the workstation without coding. Bleu also says its software can work with any humanoid platform. The report does not provide independent test results for those claims.
For builders and investors, the evidence to watch is whether the approach works across factory tasks and robot platforms under production conditions. Time to deploy, accuracy and the effort needed to retrain a robot will matter alongside compatibility. Bleu's one-hour deployment target is an ambition, not a reported result. Its work with two industrial companies shows engagement, but the report does not establish the scale or commercial terms of those relationships.
